Cooking beef in a sleeve with potatoes:

Step 1: prepare the onion with garlic.


Each housewife prepares this dish in different ways, and it always turns out delicious, today we will make Polish beef in a sleeve with potatoes, which in no way resembles roast with a huge amount of ingredients, that is, the meal will be without frills from the simplest products. First of all, using a sharp kitchen knife, peel the onion and garlic, rinse them thoroughly, dry them with paper kitchen towels and put them on a cutting board. We chop the onion with straws, rings, half rings or quarters, and the garlic cloves with slices or small pieces, although if you wish, you can squeeze them through a press into a bowl.

Step 2: prepare the meat.


Now we choose meat, the soft parts of the carcass are suitable, not flat, but voluminous with a little internal fat, but if there is no special alternative, take any fresh piece, it is better than a young bull from 3 to 4 years old, in my case it’s a slightly sinewy pulp with rib interlayer. We wash the meat under a trickle of cold running water, dip it with paper towels, send it to a clean board and cut off excess fat, as well as small bones that often remain on the log house. Then we divide this ingredient into portioned pieces, the size of which depends only on your desire, but do not forget that the larger they are, the longer they bake. I cut my kilogram of beef into 8 parts with an approximate value of each 7 by 10 centimeters, based on 2 slices per 1 serving, that is, as a result, 4 adults will definitely not be hungry. Then we rub the meat to taste with salt, paprika, black pepper, a mixture of spices, throw it into any clean dishes and move on.

Step 3: pickle the beef.


We solve the marinade issue, in principle, anyone will use it: mint, honey, mustard, sour cream, kefir or another, favorite. I think the simpler the better! First, put slices of garlic on beef slices and pour all the soy sauce.

Then crush the meat with an onion, slightly crush everything with clean hands, close and send to the refrigerator by 1.5-2, but if not in a hurry, then it’s possible for 12 hours.

Step 4: prepare the potatoes.


After the required time turn on the oven for heating at 200 degrees Celsius. Then remove the peel from the potato, rinse it, dry it and cut each tuber into 4, 6 or 8 large pieces of about 4 to 5 centimeters in size. We throw them into a clean deep bowl, pour a small amount of vegetable oil and mix thoroughly so that the fat covers the slices of the vegetable on all sides.

After that, sprinkle the potatoes to taste with salt, black pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Again, loosen everything until smooth until grains of spices stick to the cut on all sides, and proceed to the next step.

Step 5: prepare the ingredients for baking.


Cut off with a kitchen scissors from a special culinary sleeve about a meter, but a little more. We tighten one of its ends with a special clip that comes in the set, so that there are no gaps, and move the resulting product to the bottom of a heat-resistant or non-stick baking dish. Now we put potatoes sprinkled with spices in the formed bag and from above put the pickled meat with the onion on top of it. Hermetically tighten the sleeve from the other end, slightly shake, so that all the components of the dish mix a little, again we send a kind of bag of food into the mold and make a small puncture with a toothpick in it.

Step 6: bake beef in a sleeve with potatoes.


Next, check the oven and, if it has warmed up to the desired temperature, put there still raw food on the middle rack. We bake potatoes with beef for 1.5-2 hours, it took me exactly 2 and a half due to large pieces of meat, after which everything came to full readiness.

As soon as the food is cooked, we pull the kitchen gloves on our hands, rearrange the yummy on a cutting board, preliminary laid on the countertop, and leave it at least for 5-7 minutes. After that, carefully cut the sleeve, transfer the potatoes with beef to the same form in which they were cooked, and immediately serve.

Step 7: serve the beef in the sleeve with potatoes.


Beef in a sleeve with potatoes is served hot as a second main course for lunch or breakfast, although this meal is also suitable as a hearty dinner. This culinary masterpiece can be supplemented with fresh chopped herbs, salads, marinades, pickles and, of course, bread. Cook with love and enjoy!
