Crab Salad


Canned Crab Salad Ingredients

Cooking canned crab salad:

Step 1: Prepare carrots and potatoes.


Carrots and potatoes should be boiled before being added to the salad. To do this, first we wash the vegetables, and then put them in a pan filled with water. Important: it is not necessary to clean the skin before cooking. Put the pot with carrots and potatoes on the stove, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 40-45 minutes. During this time, the vegetables will become softer. Their readiness must be checked with a knife. If you can easily pierce the pulp, and after the vegetables slide off the blade without effort, then everything is ready, otherwise you should continue cooking.
After cooking, cool the carrots and potatoes, and then peel them. Finely chopped peeled vegetables.

Step 2: Prepare the eggs.


Place the eggs in a stewpan, fill it with water and place on the stove. This ingredient needs to be boiled for 12-13 minutes after the water boils. Then hot water is drained from the boiled eggs and cold water is poured. And after cooling, you need to peel off the shell and grind the ingredient. Often, the proteins are separated and simply added to the salad, and the yolks are triturated and sprinkled on top of them as a decoration.

Step 3: Prepare the crab meat.


Remove the crab meat from the jar and simply chop it. It is better not very finely so that this ingredient stands out clearly from the rest of the salad.

Step 4: Prepare the cucumber.


Rinse the cucumber with warm water and cut off the ends on both sides. Then be sure to try if the peel is bitter, if you feel bitterness, then the vegetable must be cleaned by removing the skin from it with a special knife. The peeled and washed cucumber can only be laid on a cutting board and chopped.

Step 5: Prepare the onion.


We always peel off the peel from the onion. Then cut the ingredient into small pieces. Then you should slightly soften its taste. To do this, boil water in a kettle and pour it on the onion. In this case, you need quite a bit. Wait for it to cool and drain. That's all, such onion is much less bitter and gives the salad a very pleasant aftertaste.

Step 6: Prepare the dill greens.


Dill, of course, is also washed, brushed off from moisture, and then just finely chopped with a knife. You can use kitchen scissors or pick greens with your hands.

Step 7: Mix the salad with canned crab.


Mix in a salad bowl all the ingredients prepared for the salad in a random order. Do not forget to salt and pepper to taste. And also try to mix everything very carefully so that the canned crab meat does not fall apart into fibers. Season the dish with mayonnaise, but do not add it too much, the ingredients should not float in the dressing, everything needs to know the measure. At the end, mix everything carefully and gently. It remains only to arrange nicely in portions. Special molds for salad can help you with this. Thanks to the beautiful and accurate serving, the salad with canned crabs will become even tastier and more desirable.

Step 8: Serve the canned crab salad.


When serving a salad with canned crabs, remember that in many respects the success of a dish depends on its serving, so do everything carefully and well.
