Korean Green Tomato Ingredients

Korean green tomato making:

Step 1: prepare the parsley.

In fact, for the preparation of such tomatoes, it is not necessary to use greens, except for the smell. I usually add literally half a small bunch. So, for starters, rinse the parsley under running water, shake off excess fluid and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the greens and then pour into a free saucer. Let it stand aside for now.

Step 2: prepare the green tomatoes.

We wash green tomatoes well under running warm water and put them on a cutting board. Using a knife, peel the vegetables from the stalk and then cut in half. We cut each part into small slices and then transfer to a small bowl.

Step 3: prepare the garlic.

We put the garlic on a cutting board and, using the tip of the knife, slightly press down. Then with clean hands we remove the husk and rinse under running water.

We return the cloves back to a flat surface and finely chop the pieces. Pour the crushed garlic in a clean saucer.

Step 4: prepare bell peppers.

Bell pepper is well washed under running warm water and spread on a cutting board. Using a knife, we clean the vegetable from the tail and seeds. Now cut the component into thin strips or small cubes. The taste of this dish will not change, so chop the pepper as it is convenient. Now pour it into a clean plate and proceed to the preparation of containers.

Step 5: prepare jars with lids.

Using a kitchen sponge and a special dishwashing detergent, thoroughly rinse the jars with lids under running warm water. We do this until the glass begins to creak if you hold it with wet hands. Immediately after we put the container upside down on a kitchen towel, with which we pre-cover the kitchen table, and leave it for some time alone.

Step 6: prepare green tomatoes in Korean.

In a large bowl we spread ingredients such as slices of green tomatoes, chopped bell pepper, garlic, finely chopped parsley, and sprinkle them with salt, sugar, ground red pepper, as well as pour vinegar and vegetable oil. Using a tablespoon or clean hands, mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Now we shift the vegetable mixture into half-liter jars and tightly close with metal lids. Put the dish in the fridge for 8 hours. All green tomatoes in Korean are ready!

Step 7: serve green tomatoes in Korean.

After 8 hours, the tomatoes are ready in Korean! Therefore, we take them out of the refrigerator, open the jar, and transfer its contents with a tablespoon to a deep bowl. We serve the dish to the dining table as a snack for such food as fried or baked potatoes, risotto, pilaf and all kinds of cereals with boiled and other meat. Very tasty and moderately spicy!

Recipe Tips:

- for cooking we use special green tomatoes. So look, do not confuse them with unripe vegetables. Although you can always experiment;

- such an appetizer can be stored in the refrigerator for several months;
