Cooking potatoes baked in slices in the oven:

Step 1: prepare the ingredient and inventory.


First, turn on the oven to warm up at 220 degrees Celsius. Then we put on a countertop a large non-stick baking sheet with a thick bottom and either grease it inside with a teaspoon of vegetable oil, or cover it with parchment or baking paper. After that, we select three large potatoes and carefully rinse them under trickles of cold running water with a soft kitchen sponge or brush. You don’t have to be very zealous, you don’t have to tear the upper skin, we won’t remove it, so we just remove any kind of dirt, for example, earth, sand or something else.

Then we dry the tubers with paper kitchen towels, put them on a cutting board and, using a sharp kitchen knife, take turns shaving them with long slices of thickness from 1 to 1.5 centimeters. Dip the resulting slices again with a kitchen towel, discard into a deep bowl, sprinkle to taste with salt, turmeric, curry, oregano and pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Thoroughly mix everything, so that particles of spices stick around a slice of potato on all sides, put the slices on the bottom of the prepared baking sheet with a slice down and proceed to the next, almost final step.

Step 2: prepare the potatoes, baked slices in the oven.


We check the oven and, if it has warmed up to the desired temperature, put the still raw dish there. We bake it for 20 minutes, during which the potatoes reach almost complete readiness. After the necessary time, using kitchen tackles, we slightly extend the baking sheet, using a kitchen spatula and a table fork, turn the vegetable slices on the other side, also cut down, and again send the fragrant yummy to the oven, but this time by 10, and who loves more fried, then for 15 minutes.

As soon as the potatoes are browned from all sides and it will be easily pierced by the prongs of the fork, we move the pan to the cutting board, previously laid on the countertop. After that, we distribute the resulting miracle in portions on plates and offer the family to taste the creation of their golden pens.

Step 3: serve the potatoes baked with slices in the oven.


Baked potatoes in the oven are served hot as a full-fledged vegetarian dish or as an excellent side dish for meat, poultry, fish and even game, but it can be served in different ways. It is a good option immediately after cooking to spread the slices in portions on plates and crush them with crushed hard cheese, which will melt a little and give the vegetable a pleasant creamy aftertaste. Still very often hot potatoes are watered with a mixture of garlic, olive oil and spices squeezed through a press. You can also do without the above tricks and just put tidbits on the table along with all kinds of sauces based on sour cream, cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, tomato or vegetables. Well, as a complement to such a hearty dish, salads, marinades or pickles are often offered. Cook with love and enjoy homemade food!

- for the preparation of this dish it is better to choose soft varieties of potatoes, of which they make mashed potatoes;

- the set of spices is not essential, use any dried herbs, as well as spices that season dishes from vegetables: hot red pepper, garlic or onion powder, suneli hops, and these are just a few of all the possible options. Also very often, some housewives use special mixtures with the addition of the aroma of chicken, ham, cheese or whatever you like, they are, of course, quite harmful to the body, but give the potato a special smell and taste;
