Ingredients for Making Lemon-Orange Pie

Preparation of lemon-orange pie:
Step 1: Cook the dough.
In a deep bowl, mix soda and sour cream thoroughly.
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat and pour it into a bowl with sour cream and soda. Mix everything well until smooth.
In the resulting mixture, gradually, in small portions, add sifted wheat flour. Knead the dough with a spoon and then with your hands.
As a result, you will get a pleasant to the touch, soft dough.
Be careful and do not sprinkle flour so that the mass in the end is not too steep.
Step 2: Prepare the filling.
Cut the halves of the well-washed orange and lemon into large pieces and remove all the bones from them. If this is not done, an unpleasant bitterness will appear in the pie.
Put the prepared fruits in a blender bowl (yes, along with the peel), add sugar and chop well.
Important: if you don’t like lemon bitterness at all, then you can peel the citrus fruits from the skins and put only the flesh into the filling.
Step 3: Collect the Lemon-Orange Pie.
Wash the dough again and divide it into two unequal parts. One piece should be slightly larger than the other.
Roast a baking dish (diameter 26 centimeters) with butter (do not forget to pay attention to the sides). Take most of the dough, knead a little and flatten it in your hands, and then lay it in the mold, lifting the edges so that they fit onto the sides of the mold. Throughout the area, slightly pierce the cake with a fork.
Put the dough stuffed with sugar on the dough. Even out.
Stretch the remaining dough in your hands and cover it with the citrus filling on top, tightly sealing the edges of the pie around the perimeter. Pound the pie with a fork and on top, or make beautiful cuts on it.
Spread the top of the product with whipped protein.
Step 4: Bake a lemon-orange pie.
You need to bake a lemon-orange pie in a preheated 180 degrees oven for 30 minutes. But it is best to check the readiness of the dough, puncture it with a toothpick, it should come out of the pie dry, otherwise cooking will need to continue.
After you remove the baked lemon-orange pie from the oven, it will need to be allowed to cool at room temperature. And only after that the product can be carefully removed from the mold and served to the table.
Step 5: Serve the lemon-orange pie.
Serve lemon-orange cake with unsweetened tea by cutting the pastries into portioned portions. You can sprinkle it with powdered sugar, but this is not so important. The cake is already sweet and delicious.
