Ingredients for cooking rice with mushrooms in a slow cooker

  1. Rice 2 cups
  2. Onion 1 piece (large)
  3. Broth (chicken or vegetable) 500 milliliters
  4. Champignon mushrooms 100 grams
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Ground black pepper to taste
  7. Vegetable oil 2-3 tablespoons

Cooking rice with mushrooms in a slow cooker:

Step 1: saute the onions.

Pour into a multicooker cup 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil. Set the mode frying and heat.
While the oil is warming, take the onion, peel it, rinse it with cool water and crumble very finely.
Sauté the onion in a slow cooker for 5 minutes, stirring it all the time so as not to burn.

Step 2: add rice and mushrooms.

While the onion is fried, rinse the rice several times with cold water. And cut the mushrooms into small slices or thin slices.
When the onion is ready, pour rice and mushrooms to it, mix.

Step 3: pour the broth.

Pour the broth into the multicooker bowl. Choose a mode "pilaf", close the multicooker lid and wait for the program to end. This is the beauty of cooking in a slow cooker - you spend a minimum of time in the kitchen, the “magic pot” cooks everything for you.

But five minutes before the completion of cooking, rice with mushrooms will need to be salt and pepper. Then close the appliance lid again and wait for the remaining 5 minutes.
When the appliance informs you that the program has been completed, open the slow cooker and serve the delicious rice with mushrooms to the table while it’s hot.

Step 4: serve the rice with mushrooms cooked in a slow cooker.

Rice with mushrooms should be served hot. For me, it turns out a very tasty first course, to which you can add, perhaps, a few fresh vegetables for decoration or sour cream. But you can use rice with mushrooms as a side dish for meat dishes or poultry dishes, as well as the same homemade meatballs. Delicious!
