Egg in a bun


Ingredients for Making Eggs in a Bun

  1. Sesame buns 4 pieces
  2. Eggs (quail or chicken) 4 pieces
  3. Smoked fish 50 grams
  4. Cheese 50 grams
  5. Bulgarian pepper 1/2 pieces
  6. Ground pepper to taste
  7. Paprika to taste
  8. Green onion 1 piece

Inventory:

Baking tray, kitchen knife, cutting board, hot pot holders, parchment for baking.

Cooking eggs in a bun:

Step 1: prepare the ingredients.


At the buns, you need to cut off the top and dig out the bread pulp from the inside to get something like a boat hollow inside.
Salted fish, or what you found there in your refrigerator (which can be sausage, ham, and smoked chicken) should be cut into thin slices.
Cheese can be grated or cut into small cubes.
Half of the bell pepper also needs to be crushed very finely with a knife.
And, of course, you need to chop with a knife the arrows of green onions.

Step 2: stuff the buns.


Place the fish on the bottom of the buns, pressing them slightly with your fingers so that there is more space for other ingredients.

Break an egg on top of the fish, no matter the quail or chicken, but consider how much space it takes. Gently place cheese and slices of bell pepper on top. Do not damage the yolk, it is important to leave it whole.

Step 3: bake the egg in a bun.


Top the egg in the bun with salt, season with paprika and pepper, spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment for baking, and send to a well-heated 200 degrees oven on 5-10 minutes. Accurately determine the cooking time in the process yourself, making sure that the egg is well baked, but not burnt.
Lids cut from buns can be greased with oil and baked next to them, or put them on top of an egg, then the dish will look more like a pot.
Sprinkle the baked egg in the bun with green onions and serve until cool. It will be most delicious if you have egg white curled up and the yolk remains liquid.

Step 4: serve the egg in a bun.


An egg in a bun is a wonderful breakfast. Perfect for when you especially have no time to cook, or if you have guests left overnight, and you want to please them in a hurry with something. Serve buns surrounded by a salad of fresh vegetables and herbs, and always with a cup of hot coffee or tea.
