Baked peppers with sauce


Ingredients for Cooking Baked Peppers with Sauce

  1. Sweet pepper 1 kilogram
  2. Tomatoes 3 pieces
  3. Garlic 3 cloves
  4. Olive oil 2-3 tablespoons
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Pepper to taste
  7. Balsamic vinegar 1 teaspoon
  8. Honey 1 tablespoon

Cooking baked peppers with sauce:

Step 1: prepare the pepper.


Rinse the peppers properly, and then dry thoroughly, removing excess moisture. If desired, too long ponytails can be trimmed, but you do not need to tear them together with the seeds and core.

Step 2: bake pepper.


In well preheated 190-200 degrees fry the peppers in the oven by turning them over once every few minutes. Vegetables should acquire on the sides black, as if slightly burnt, spots.
By the way, you can also fry peppers over an open fire.

After baking, move the peppers to a plate, sprinkle with salt and cover with cling film or foil on top, the main thing is that it retains heat well. Hold the vegetables like that 10-15 minutesand then you can easily peel them.

Step 3: prepare the tomatoes.


Fill the tomatoes in boiling water and leave them there on 1-2 minutes. After peeling off the tomatoes, remove the seal on the crown, and cut the rest into small cubes.

Transfer chopped tomatoes into a pan, pour 2 tablespoons oil and put everything on a slow fire. Simmer tomatoes for 10 minutesstirring occasionally.

Step 4: prepare the sauce.


Add salt, pepper, chopped garlic cloves, the remaining spoonful of oil, honey and vinegar to the pan with boiling tomatoes. Remove the sauce from the heat, mix thoroughly and immediately pour baked and peeled peppers on it.

Step 5: serve the baked peppers with sauce.

Baked peppers with sauce are good both hot and cold. It is only better to let them lie down a little and soak in aromas and seasonings. I don’t know how it is for you, but for me it is the best summer snack for juicy meat kebabs or for potatoes baked in a fire.
