Ingredients for preparing a vegetable salad for the winter

  1. Bulgarian yellow pepper 1/2 kilogram
  2. Cucumbers 1/2 kg
  3. Cherry Tomatoes 700 grams
  4. Onions 2-3 pieces
  5. Garlic 3 cloves
  6. Bay leaf 6 pieces
  7. Allspice 30 peas
  8. Mustard 3 teaspoons
  9. Salt (without iodine) 1 and 1/2 tablespoons
  10. Sugar 2 tablespoons
  11. Apple cider vinegar 3/4 cup
  12. Boiled water (chilled) 1 and 1/2 liters

Inventory:

Glass jars, knife, kitchen board, pan, soup ladle.

Preparation of vegetable salad for the winter:

Step 1: prepare the peppers.


Rinse and peel seeds and twigs. After preparation, cut them into thin strips.

Step 2: prepare the cucumbers.


Take a small cucumber suitable for preserving the variety. Rinse, dry and cut into large cubes.

Step 3: prepare the onion.


Peel the onions and cut into thick half rings.

Step 4: prepare the garlic.


Peel the garlic cloves and cut into slices.

Step 5: lay out the salad in jars.


You will need clean, sterile jars. Spice on their bottom: allspice, bay leaf and garlic. Add 1/2 teaspoon of mustard and a few slices of garlic to each jar.

Start to lay the salad in layers. First onions, peppers and whole cherry tomatoes.

And at the very top lay the pieces of cucumbers.

Step 6: we prepare vegetable salad for the winter.


In a saucepan, mix chilled boiled water with apple cider vinegar, salt and sugar. Stir to dissolve the salt and sugar.
Pour vegetable salad in jars with the resulting marinade and cover it with lids.
Make jars with blanks in a pan with a towel at the bottom, fill with water and pasteurize for 10 minutes after boiling.
After pasteurization, remove the jars, turn them upside down and set to cool in this position.

Step 7: serve vegetable salad for the winter.


After cooling, the jars with vegetable salad should be stored in the pantry or basement. Serve vegetables to the table in the cold season, as a reminder of the summer. The salad looks very beautiful in the jar and on the plate, and the taste is just a jumble.
