French Donut Ingredients

For the test

Cooking French Donuts:

Step 1: prepare the choux pastry.


Pour water into the stewpan, add butter and vanilla to it, and then salt with sugar. Put everything on medium heat.
While stirring, bring the contents of the stewpan to a boil.
Remove from heat and immediately begin to gradually pour out the flour, stirring all the time.
When you get a homogeneous mass, you will need to gradually interrupt one egg into it, thoroughly whipping with a whisk or mixer each time.
Or you can add 3 whole eggs, also interfering them one after another, and then add the whipped whites in the lush foam. So the donuts will be more airy.

Step 2: fry the french donuts.


To make the donuts beautifully shaped, you will need a pastry bag with an asterisk nozzle and parchment paper cut into squares with a side of 5 centimeters.
And immediately whisk and heat the ingredients for the icing to dissolve the sugar, since we will dip the donuts into it almost immediately. Let it be ready in advance.
Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan to 180 degrees. You need to fry the French donuts in it until golden brown (for 2-3 minutes) on each side, then dip (pour from above) into the icing and leave to cool.

And so that the shape is beautiful, use the bag to squeeze the dough onto a square of parchment, and then dip the donuts in the paper with paper up. After some time, you can easily remove the paper with forceps. For fidelity, grease the parchment with butter.

Step 3: serve the french donuts.
