Ingredients for making a pie with meat in a pan

  1. Wheat flour 500 grams
  2. Water 250 milliliters
  3. Pork (or pork and beef) 250 grams
  4. Vegetable oil 5 tablespoons
  5. Sugar 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Fresh yeast 1/2 pack
  7. Onion 1 piece
  8. Pepper to taste
  9. Thyme to taste
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Paprika to taste

Cooking a pie with meat in a pan:

Step 1: prepare the dough.


First mix fresh yeast with sugar until soft. Then add water to this mixture and mix very well. Add salt and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, mix very well again.
Then pour the flour and gradually knead the elastic and non-sticky dough. If you need to add more flour, add, but do not pour, making the dough too steep.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place on 30 minutes.
At the same time, work on the filling.

Step 2: prepare the meat.


The meat must be washed, cleaned of veins and other things, and then chopped into minced meat. You can do this either with a meat grinder or with a blender.

You can use only pork or pork and beef for the filling. To your taste.

Step 3: prepare the onion.


Peel onions and cut into small cubes.

Step 4: prepare the filling for the cake.


Fry the onion in a small amount of oil. When it becomes transparent, add meat and spices to taste here. I add by 1st teaspoon salt, black pepper, thyme and paprika.
Stir everything and continue cooking until the meat changes color. Then remove the pan from the heat and let its contents cool.
The finished filling should be pleasantly spicy in taste and aroma.

Step 5: make a cake with meat.


Mash the dough and divide it into 4 equal parts.
Take one of the parts and roll it first into a ball, then stretch it with a rolling pin into a rounded layer. In the middle of the dough, put a couple of spoons of minced meat, and then wrap the free edges inward, covering the filling.

Using a rolling pin, stretch the cake to make it thinner.

Also, rolling will help you evenly distribute the meat filling inside the pie.

Step 6: fry the meat pie in the pan.


Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and, when it is hot enough, put the meat pie in it. Sauté on medium heat until golden brown on both sides. This is approximately 3-4 minutes on each side.

After you fry the first meat pie, take on the rest. Ready-made pastries can be stacked on top of each other.
Served hot pies.
