Smoked potato stew


Ingredients for Cooking Stewed Potatoes with Smoked Ribs

  1. Potato 1.5 kilograms
  2. Smoked pork ribs 300 grams
  3. Onion 1 piece (large)
  4. Bulgarian pepper 1 piece
  5. Paprika 2 teaspoons
  6. Cayenne pepper 1 pinch
  7. Laurel leaves 3 pieces
  8. 1/2 parsley bunch
  9. Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Ground black pepper to taste
  12. Water optional

Cooking stewed potatoes with smoked ribs:

Step 1: fry the ribs.


With a knife, separate the pork ribs from each other and fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown on all sides. And let the pork fat melt a little.

Remove the ribs from the pan, leaving the meat aside for a while.

Step 2: pass the vegetables.


Peel and rinse the peppers and onions, and then chop the vegetables into small cubes.

In a mixture of vegetable oil and fat fat from the ribs, sauté the vegetables over low heat until soft. In time it will take you 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat, add bay leaves, cayenne pepper and black ground pepper. Mix everything together well.

Step 3: cook the ribs.


Return the ribs to the pan to the vegetables, salt to taste and fill with water (you need water 1,5 liters) On medium heat, bring everything to a boil, reduce power, cover the pan with a lid and cook smoked meat for 1 hour, or until the meat is very easily separated from the bone.

Step 4: add the potatoes.


When the ribs are cooked, add the diced peeled potatoes to the pan to them.
If there is not enough water in the pan to cover the potatoes, pour a little more boiling water.

Step 5: stew potatoes with smoked ribs.


Bring the contents of the pan to a boil and simmer everything together over low heat for another 20-30 minutes. Or until the potatoes are soft.
At the very end, remove everything from the heat, add fresh parsley and leave to insist and a little thicken.

Step 6: serve the stewed potatoes with smoked ribs.


Serve stewed potatoes with smoked ribs should be warm or hot. As an appetizer, pickled cucumbers are perfect. So a hearty dinner is ready for the whole family!
