Cooking strudel with plums:
Step 1: prepare the dough.
Mix warm (but not hot) water in a bowl with vegetable oil, salt and vinegar. Then gradually add the sifted wheat flour here and knead the elastic and fairly steep dough. First with a spatula or spoon, and then with your hands.
After kneading, let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
Step 2: stew the plums.
Rinse the plums properly, divide into several parts and remove the seeds. Put the prepared fruits in a pan.
Pour the wine into the plums and add sugar, and then put on medium heat. Stew the fruit, stirring, until all the sugar has dissolved.
Throw the plums into a colander to get rid of excess fluid and wait until everything has cooled to room temperature.
Step 3: prepare the filling.
When the plums have cooled, put them on a plate, add semolina and ground cinnamon. Mix everything together well.
Step 4: forming a strudel with plums.
Divide the rest of the dough by 3 parts, since everything we will have 3 strudel with plums.
Take one part and stretch it, roll it thinly into a rectangular layer on a flour-sprinkled tabletop.
Lay out on the test 1/3 drain, prepared for the filling, and wrap in a roll, tightening the edges.
Prepare all the strudel one at a time.
Carefully, since the dough is very thin, put the prepared strudel on a baking tray, oiled or covered with special parchment.
Oil the dough on top.
Step 5: bake the strudel with plums.
Bake strudel with plums in preheated 180 degrees oven for 45 minutes. A little liquid from the filling can leak out, it's okay.
After baking, remove the strudel from the oven and let it cool. Sprinkle the cooled pastry with powdered sugar, divide into portions and serve for tea.
Step 6: serve the plum strudel.
The charm of the strudel is that the dough is thin and quite a bit, but the sweet filling is full. This is delicious. Try it for sure!
Enjoy your meal!
