Chicken Salad Ingredients

For salad

  1. Chicken fillet 4 pieces
  2. Potato 600 grams
  3. Pickled cucumbers 6 pieces
  4. Pickled pepper 5 pieces
  5. Carrot 4 pieces
  6. Frozen peas 200 grams
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ground pepper to taste

For mayonnaise

  1. Olive oil 600 grams
  2. Boiled egg yolk 2 pieces
  3. Fresh egg yolk 2 pieces
  4. Mustard 1 teaspoon
  5. Lemon juice optional
  6. Salt to taste

Cooking holiday chicken salad:

Step 1: Cook the chicken.


Rinse the chicken fillet and place in a pan with salted boiling water. Cook the bird until cooked, i.e. for about 20 minutes.
Then the fillet should be removed from the pan, dried and cooled at room temperature.

Step 2: cook the vegetables.


At the same time, in which you will cook chicken, you will have time to cook vegetables. So the potatoes need to be peeled and cooked separately until soft.

And in a separate pan, cook peas with peeled carrots. Also to softness.
Just do not digest the vegetables, and when they are ready, immediately cool with cold water and dry.

Step 3: chop the ingredients.


When all the ingredient has cooled, cut them into small cubes of the same size. Pickled cucumbers with peppers need to be cut into the same cubes. Leave the peas whole, it does not need to be cut.

Step 4: make mayonnaise.


Mix boiled yolks with raw in a plate, adding a little salt. Stir and grind them with each other until you get a homogeneous mass.
Then gradually start pouring olive oil, alternating it with lemon juice. All this time do not stop mixing your mayonnaise.
Add mustard and more salt at the end, if necessary. Mix everything again until smooth.

Step 5: season the salad.


Put all the salad ingredients in a plate, add to them 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise and mix very carefully. Season the dish with salt and pepper, if necessary.

Step 6: beautifully put the salad on a plate.


Beautifully lay the salad on a large flat dish using a split mold without a bottom.

Remove the form and coat the edges of the salad with the remaining mayonnaise so that it completely covers the colorful vegetables.

Now act as your fantasy tells you. You can cut a Christmas tree or a wreath from pickled cucumbers by adding peas as balls and thin slices of pickled pepper as ribbons. You can use those ingredients that are not included in the salad, for example, to make snowmen or chicken from eggs. You can also curly cut carrot slices in the shape of flowers or hearts.
