Celery Salad Ingredients

For salad

  1. Celery Root 500 grams
  2. Lemon Juice Lemon Half Juice
  3. Pickled cucumbers 3-4 pieces
  4. Sour cream 20% 2 tablespoons

For mayonnaise

  1. Egg yolks 4 pieces (2 boiled and 2 fresh)
  2. Dijon mustard 4 tablespoons
  3. Vegetable oil 300 milliliters
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Lemon juice to taste

Inventory:

Grater, pan, colander, plate, wooden spoon, kitchen knife, cutting board.

Making celery salad:

Step 1: chop celery.


Peel the celery root and rinse well. Cut it with a special knife or grate Korean style on a carrot grater.
To prevent celery from darkening, put it in a plate with cold water and the juice of half a lemon. Stir and let it rest a little.

Step 2: Blanch Celery


Boil in a pan 2 liters salted water, and when it boils, throw the prepared celery into it and boil for 2-3 minutes.

Throw the celery in a colander and rinse it with cold water to stop cooking.
Leave everything to weight to allow excess fluid to drain.

Step 3: make mayonnaise.


In a bowl with a spoon, mix egg yolks with mustard. Then gradually begin to pour in the vegetable oil, without ceasing to mix everything.

When the mayonnaise is smooth, add a little lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well again.
Important: you can pour lemon juice gradually with oil.

Step 4: mix celery salad.


Transfer the celery to a plate, add finely chopped and squeezed from excess brine to it. And also put sour cream and just cooked mayonnaise.

Mix everything well and add more salt and pepper to taste.
Put the prepared celery salad in the refrigerator so that it cools well, and all the tastes and aromas in it mix.

Step 5: serve celery salad.


Celery salad is best served in the company of meat or poultry dishes. It turns out very tasty, and, most importantly, useful, including for digestion. A great option in case you have heavy dishes on the table. In this case, celery will not only improve the taste of the meal, but also help you get rid of the discomfort in your stomach.
