Ingredients for the preparation of salad "Christmas candles"
- Potato 3 pieces
- 2 carrots
- Eggs 2 pieces
- Broccoli 400 grams
- Cheese (thin slices) 100 grams
- Ham (meat or chicken) 200 grams
- Pickles 2 pieces
- Pickled pepper 1 piece
- Green onions 4-5 pieces
- Mayonnaise 200 grams
- Bulgarian red pepper 1/2 pieces
- Dill 1/2 beam
- Pomegranate 1/2 pieces
- Main ingredients: Ham, Cabbage, Potato, Onion, Carrot, Cucumber, Pepper, Eggs, Cheese

Plate, kitchen knife, cutting board, pan, tablespoon.
Cooking salad "Christmas candles":
Step 1: prepare the ingredients.
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, cool with cold water, peel and cut into small cubes.
Boil the carrots as well, cool, peel and chop like potatoes.
Wash the broccoli, divide into inflorescences and blanch in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then cool in cold water and dry. Chop the broccoli into smaller pieces.
Rinse green onions and chop finely.
Boil the eggs in water for 7 minutes, then cool, peel and cut into strips.
Cut the ham into strips in the same way as the eggs.
Cut pickled cucumbers and peppers into small cubes, and then squeeze them from excess moisture so that your salad does not drip.
Clean the pomegranate in a bowl of water, taking all the grains.
Wash the dill, dry and tear into small twigs.
From red bell pepper cut out triangles.
Step 2: spread the first layer of lettuce.
At the bottom of the plate lay a layer of potatoes, salt and pepper it, and then lay on top a layer of boiled carrots.
Be sure to leave “holes” in the center of the salad, into which we will put edible candles later.
Step 3: prepare the second layer.
Mix ham, eggs, pickled cucumbers with pepper in a plate and season it all with mayonnaise. Mix well. Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: spread the second layer of lettuce.
Lay a layer of eggs, ham and pickles on top of the carrots and potatoes. All the same, do not forget to leave places for "candles".
Step 5: decorate the salad.
Garnish the salad with finely chopped green onions and broccoli on top.
Sliced cheese with mayonnaise on one side, and then roll them into rolls, with mayonnaise inside. Place the resulting cheese "candles" in the voids of the salad. Stick red pepper triangles on top to indicate flames.
Complete the decoration of the holiday salad by sprinkling pomegranate seeds and dill on it.
Step 6: serve the salad.
Serve New Year's candles salad to the festive table, giving all those present a piece of miracle and a lot of pleasure. The dish is beautiful, solemn and delicious.
