Ingredients for Making Ham, Cheese and Pepper Bread Casseroles
- Bulgarian red pepper 1 piece
- Bulgarian green pepper 1 piece
- Olive oil optional
- Salt to taste
- Ground pepper to taste
- Dried oregano 1 teaspoon
- White bread 8 slices
- Eggs 2 pieces
- Sour cream 18% 200 milliliters
- Tomato sauce 1 pack

Cooking bread casseroles with ham, cheese and pepper:
Step 1: prepare the peppers.
Peppers need to be cleaned from seeds, washed, dried and cut into thin strips.
Put the peppers in a baking dish, pour them with oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper and dried oregano. Send to bake in preheated until 200 degrees oven on 10 minutes.
Put the baked peppers on a plate for the time being to release the form.
Step 2: prepare the bread.
Cut the crusts from the bread and, slicing the slices into smaller pieces, put half of them in a baking dish so as to cover the entire bottom.
Step 3: prepare the egg fill.
Mix sour cream with eggs in a deep bowl and beat thoroughly with a whisk until smooth.
Step 4: lay the layers.
Pour half the egg-cream mixture onto the bread so that the bread slices are completely covered.
Pour the sauce on top, spreading it over the entire area.
Lay a couple of slices of ham on top.
Place slices of previously baked pepper on the ham.
Crumble feta cheese on top of it.
The next layer is the remaining slices of ham. Brush them with tomato sauce.
Lay on top the slices of bread previously set aside and pour them with the remaining half of the egg-sour cream mixture.
Step 5: bake a bread casserole with ham, cheese and pepper.
Cook the casserole in preheated 180 degrees oven for 30 minutes.
The finished bread casserole is covered with a brown crust on top, and inside it is juicy and very tasty. Remove it from the oven, cut into portions and serve hot.
Step 6: Serve the ham, cheese and pepper bread casserole.
Ham, cheese and pepper bread casserole can be served for breakfast or afternoon snack for a bite to eat. It turns out really very tasty. And it is much more interesting than ordinary sandwiches.
