Ingredients for Making Herring Puff Salad

Deep salad bowl, cling film, tablespoon, cutting board, grater, plate.
Preparation of herring puff salad:
Step 1: soak the herring.
Soak the herring fillet in cool water for several hours, then dry and cut half into small cubes, and into the other half into strips.
At this time, you can just have time to cook and bake those ingredients that need heat treatment.
Step 2: chop the onion and apple.
Peel the apple from the skin and seeds, peel the onion from the husk. Cut everything into small cubes.
Step 3: put the salad in layers.
Mix the herring you diced with onion and apple, add 1 tablespoon sour cream, chopped parsley and salt with pepper. Shuffle and lay out the first layer. Press firmly.
But before you start spreading the layers, cover the salad bowl with cling film.
Peel boiled carrots, grate on a medium grater and lay out with the next layer, pressing as well.
Mix the herring, sliced in stripes with diced beets (you can add more apples if you want), season with salt, pepper and add the remaining spoon of sour cream. Mix and lay out with the last layer, also pressing firmly.
Cover the salad with cling film and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
Step 4: serve herring puff salad.
When the flaky herring salad is infused, carefully turn it over onto the serving platter and remove the cling film. Sprinkle a grated egg on top, and on the sides decorate with greens and feathers of onions. You can also lay out stars cut from beets or carrots to create a festive mood.
