Chicken legs with sauerkraut


Ingredients for Cooking Chicken Legs with Sauerkraut

  1. Chicken leg 2 pieces (large)
  2. Sauerkraut 200 grams
  3. Bacon 200 grams
  4. Dried cumin to taste
  5. Chicken seasoning to taste
  6. Peppers mix to taste
  7. Vegetable oil to lubricate the legs
  8. Fresh parsley for serving
  9. Provencal herbs to taste

Cooking the legs with sauerkraut:

Step 1: prepare the bacon.


Bacon should be cut into small, but rather plump pieces, so that they clearly felt in the finished dish.

Step 2: prepare sauerkraut.


Squeeze cabbage from the juice. And if you do not like sour, you can soak it in advance or rinse, and then squeeze it to remove excess fluid.
Combine cabbage with bacon, add caraway seeds and mix. Place the resulting mixture on the bottom of the baking dish.

Step 3: prepare the legs.


Rinse chicken legs, wipe with paper towels and sprinkle with chicken seasoning, pepper and Provence herbs. Sprinkle with oil and rub the spices well.
Fold the prepared legs in a form on top of sauerkraut with bacon.

Step 4: bake chicken legs with sauerkraut.


Bake chicken legs with sauerkraut for about 45 minutes at 180 degrees. The main thing for you is that the chicken is cooked, since cabbage and bacon are ready to eat.

Step 5: serve the legs with sauerkraut.


Browning in the oven, the legs with sauerkraut are simply delicious! Serve them for lunch or as dinner. A side dish is not needed as such, but with potatoes, especially with fried, it will be even tastier. Give it a try!
