Cooking baked onions stuffed with mushrooms:

Step 1: peel the onion.

Peel the onion, leaving a mustache. Rinse vegetables with cold water.

Step 2: stew the onion.

After stewing the onions in salted water until the vegetables become transparent, glassy.
Cool the onion, and then cut off the “caps” on top and take out the core, leaving at least two layers for the strength of the walls.
Cut the core of the onions into small cubes, and fold the remaining hollow vegetables immediately into the baking dish.

Step 3: prepare the filling.

Wash the mushrooms, peel and cut into small cubes. Try to cut as small as possible to make minced mushroom chopped.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and simmer the mushrooms in it until all the juice has evaporated.

Add the chopped onion core.

Grind the cloves of garlic and also add them to the pan to the mushrooms.
Stir everything and fry for several minutes.

Now add finely chopped tomatoes. By the way, tomatoes can be peeled to make the filling a more pleasant texture.

Salt mushroom stuffing, add pepper and chopped greens. Quench everything together a little, stirring, and then remove from heat and cool.

Add the grated cheese to the cooled filling and mix.

Step 4: stuff the onions.

Fill the onions with the cooled mushroom filling with cheese and put the vegetables in a form next to each other so that the onions do not fall. Cover them with the previously cut off “hats”. You can also lay next a few whole mushrooms.

Step 5: bake onions stuffed with mushrooms.

Pour onion tomato paste diluted with a little water.

Send the stuffed onions into the hot (180 degrees) oven and bake until golden brown and until the cheese melts.

Step 6: serve the baked onion stuffed with mushrooms.

Serve baked stuffed onions hot, only from the oven. Garnish each serving with fresh herbs or onion feathers. The appetizer turns out to be surprisingly tasty and fragrant, be sure to try.
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of cheese, you can use sour cream to make the filling juicy and tender.

- You can prepare a lean version of the dish without adding cheese.
